Alabama Takes NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Title For Second Consecutive Year
It’s not football or basketball or even baseball.
But the SEC has won yet another NCAA championship.
This one is in women’s gymnastics. Alabama took the 2012 title, followed closely by Florida.
Yes, it’s another sport dominated by the Southeastern Conference.
Women’s gymnastics is no fluke, either. Alabama won it last year, as well, and between the Tide and Georgia the SEC has won eight of the last nine and nine of the past 11.
So now the SEC holds NCAA titles in football, basketball, baseball and gymnastics.
What’s next? Well, women’s softball. The SEC has three of the top-six ranked teams, with Alabama at #2 and Tennessee at #3.
